Last month the 2024 TURAS Club Conference took place. DCU St Patrick’s campus provided the venue as coaches from around the Province came together for an excellent day of learning.
One of many excellent speakers on the day was Kilkenny’s Performance Lead Michael Fennelly. In his presentation, Michael will shared his extensive knowledge on the importance of designing coaching sessions. He emphasised the critical role of planning and structuring sessions to maximise player development and team performance. Additionally, he discussed the importance of interpersonal skills in coaching, highlighting how effective communication, relationship-building, and motivational techniques can significantly influence a coach’s ability to inspire and lead their team to success.
