This week, we hosted the newest members of our Games Development team for a packed Induction Week aimed at helping them hit the ground running in their clubs.
Taking place across venues in Portlaoise, and the NGDC Abbottstown, the induction brings new staff together to learn, connect, and prepare for their roles.
Over the week, they explore key areas like;
- Uunderstanding the role of a PO
- Coach Development
- Effective Communication
- Nursery Workshops
- Preparation for carrying out a club audit
A big highlight of the week is the reflective “My Journey” presentations, where reflections are made on their careers thus far — all this is designed to build confidence and teamwork from day one.
Leinster GAA’s Learning and Development Manager, Jamie Queeney, summed up the importance of the week:
“It’s not just about learning the job – it’s about building relationships, sharing ideas, and getting excited about the impact we can have. This group will play a big part in shaping the future of our clubs and communities.”
With a strong focus on growth and connection, this induction week is the perfect start for our new team as they prepare to support clubs across the province.
