This morning live on RTE Radio 1 the draw for the 2021 Leinster GAA Senior Football Championship took place.
The draw followed the below format;
(Bowl 1: 7 Teams): Carlow Louth, Longford, Offaly, Wexford, Westmeath & Wicklow
(Bowl 2: 2 teams): Dublin, Kildare, Laois & Meath
(Bowl 3: 3 Slips): Round One A, Round One B, Round One C and the last team from Bowl 1 to be added after the Round One draw.
Draw:
Step 1: Round One Draw (3 Pairings): First team drawn from Bowl 1 plays second team drawn from Bowl 1 in Round One A fixture, this is repeated for Round One B fixture & Round One C fixture.
Step 2: The last remaining team from Bowl 1 is added to Bowl 3.
Step 3: Quarter Final Draw (4 Pairings): First team drawn from Bowl 2 plays the first team drawn from Bowl 3 in the Quarter Final A, this is repeated for the remaining three quarter-finals.
A separate draw will be carried out for the Semi-Finals after the Quarter Finals games later in the year.
